We are a group of successful Christians who serve the Lord by
Making all we can,
Saving all we can
Giving all we can
And blessing the Lord through our service to Him. We are missionaries to the business world and we spend all of our time seeking to find more ways through our business to make money and assist missions.
What would happen if we trusted the Lord and let the Lord lead our giving. I remember countless times when the Lord told me to give someone a break. I would analyze the situation and then make a move. I weighed the good and the bad, drew my lists and made sure that I had gone through the correct steps, then missed an opportunity to help someone who wanted to or was helping someone else. Missions are a lot like boats in the harbor. The smallest vessels, row boats and the like often float far more quickly than the larger vessels. Often, beaching a craft at high tide will allow the workers to fix something at low tide and mission work is the same. There are many faithful servants who could use your help but you must take a chance. Maybe it is some unknown prophet from Nazareth, or a wild haired fellow from the mountains, but workers in God's kingdom need support.
One area that is often missed is the clerk or typist in a mission. Doing the work of the Lord is work. Often those who find themselves sitting in an office, obeying the Lord are left without support. I worked at the Center for World Mission in Pasadena, California and can remember countless individuals who served the Lord day and night on less than living wages because they were not exciting and did not meet the need of the "bottom line" missionary. They had a nice room, they had food and clothes but were unable to move in missions because they lacked support. visit http://www.missionsandmoney.eu
The problem is one of a matter of decisions. Some folks just get in a rut and donate to those that others have donated to without looking at the overall picture and letting God tell them who to work with.
